- Temper density cup and test liquid (Refer to appropriate test standard for proper temperature)
- Fill density cup
- Put cover on without tilting
- Avoid air bubbles
- Remove overflowing liquid carefully with absorbent cloth
- Weigh filled density cup
- Calculate density
